Welcome to the last post of 2012. Hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus or whatever you happen to celebrate.
Most of the Bobby Orr collectibles out there are fully licensed. However, every once in awhile I’ll happen to come across an item that is most definitely not. This week I have one such item to show you.

This is a poster of the 1971-72 Boston Bruins that was made by the Graphic Arts Department of Newton Technical High School here in Massachusetts. The sketches were done by P.T. Moore.

Here you see a close up of the Orr sketch. Not the best I’ve ever seen but also not the worst. I’d be interested to hear what you think of this piece.
As with many items like this, there is probably no way to tell how many of these were made. My guess is that it’s a small amount, maybe less than 100, if that.
If you’re wondering how much I paid for this, the answer is $20. Very reasonable for an item like this in my opinion.
That brings us to the end of 2012 and on to the start of 2013 and my fourth year in doing this blog. I can’t thank everyone enough for continuing to read and comment from week to week. Hope you all have a safe, healthy and happy new year.
Great pickup Gary. Any time you can pick up a unique item for 20
bucks it’s a no brainer. Have a great 2013 and hopefully you pick up some more unique items.
Thanks Dana. Happy New Year to you and good luck with your collection in the new year.
Happy New Year! Congrats on 4 years!
Thanks Goog!
This piece is awesome, I mean there cannot be more than a few of these in existence
