“Classic” Bobby Orr

It’s no secret that I like oddball Bobby Orr collectibles. If his name is attached to an item than I want it, even if it has nothing to do with his playing career.

The items I have to show you this week truly fall under the oddball category, I won both of them recently from an auction house in Canada. As soon as I saw this lot I knew that I had to have it.

Let’s jump right in with this item.

DSCI2121

This is a pocket watch that cam from a Bobby Orr Classic minor hockey tournament. It has no date on it, but it is in beautiful condition.

The second item that came with the watch was this.

DSCI2123

A Bobby Orr Classic wine bottle opener kit. Truly oddball to say the least. Here is the tin that it came in.

Now I don’t know too many collectors who have or would even want these items. Too me however, they are are welcome addition to my collection.

One other person bid on these but apparently didn’t want them as much as I did. I payed a little over $100 for both items. Definitely a bargain if you ask me considering that I haven’t seen these on Ebay or anywhere else for that matter.

There you have some unusual Orr collectibles. I’ll be back next weekend with another Bobby Orr item for you to look at. Until then have a great week.

Wow, pretty fancy. The watch sure looks nice. I think you can get nice displays for pocket watches, which aren’t too expensive. That would probably look really nice in your collection.

You’ll have to tell me where I can get one Goog. I would like to display it.

I think we’re pretty much even Dave. Some of the stuff you have is pretty out there.

I have seen the displays on Amazon and I think someplace like Michael’s or AC Moore might have them, but definitely Amazon.
